Hi all
Every time I lower window down and then back up I seem to be getting scratches on it.
Anyone had this issue?
I've removed the door card felt around can't feel anything. Cleaned the plastic at the top even soaked the glass in WD40 for a bit and sent it up and down can't find the problem
Grrrrr any advice would be helpful thanks

Check your bolts that hold the regulator to the door frame, they could be too long, and that may be one of your issues as they are touching the glass. You didn't state that it was a tintop or a cabby.

Window keeps getting scratched
Hi
It's a cabby forgot to mention. The scratches seem to be all over the glass not only on one place and a couple are shaped like a C
I originally thought someone scratched there name into it but it's inside the car not outside

Doing my nut in still can't find issue. Don't want to shop for a new green tint glass until I solve it [emoji2361]

look at the arm rest or door closure. If the screws are too long, they may scratch the window in the middle of the glass. Also look at your inner and outer scrapers. The Clips can get out of place and ride dangerously close to the glass as well.
Here is a snap of the scrapers and the glass, this is the rears but the fronts are the same as well.
Were are the scratches specifically. In the middle or the front edge, or the rear. a picture of said scratches may clue me in to where the issue is.
I know a bit, as I swapped a 89 Cabriolet door over for a 93, and had to make some cuts.

I don't get how it's always been fine then all of a sudden it's scratched. Couple of long scratches and why looks like a C and a O

Take off the inner and outer scrapers and follow the scrathes as you roll the window up and down with a torch in the general area of the scratch.
You should see what is doing it. Personally that looks to be more of a Vandal than what I would expect from a mechanical scratch.

I thought the same but it's on the inside of the glass which has puzzled me

No just me. Very strange I thought someone done it from the outside originally.
Need to fix it before I start looking for a new glass. Looks green tinted
