Urgent standard Mars red GTI wanted for special show display

As one of the UKs longest running shows ( now in our 18th year and a brand new large indoor/outdoor exhibition centre )

We are putting together a special MK1-Mk7 GTI Display with an added twist 

We are wanting all the cars in red and 3dr

So if you own a tidy standard Mars red mk1 GTI in 3dr please get in touch 

The owner will receive free entry along with his/her passengers 

We have the local press/TV/radio and Volkswagen Driver magazine attending to cover the display

I have already been contacted, but I am away that weekend, which is a shame.

If you get stuck I'm not that far away; (pics from last years Uttoxeter, not concours d'elegance but still tidy 15 years after restoration)

Hi, I have a Mk1 Gti in Mars Red. not had it a month yet but in great original condition. would love it to be part of the red car line up. Also getting a free entry to the show will mean the wifey will be happy. No one wants a miserable wife do they ?!

If you get really stuck then I'll trailer my Red Campaign up for you but originally I was going to come for the day in my mk2 syncro.

Just keep us posted if one comes up that's nearer as its a fair way to come.

Legally, I could tow the MK1 and trailer behind the Syncro but I wouldn't like to try and stop it in a hurry!
