Well I have seen them over here go for 100, to 10000 bucks, but yall have some crazy pricing over there.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my DIY Links?

When you say new hood how new is it?
Do they have a bill for the job?
Issues I’m seeing are that the headliners are ditched and the interliner padding centre section are rotten.
However no one wants to go to the expense of changing them.
So you end up with a new top but the rest is a mess. But to correct the mess the top got to be removed anyway.
I’d check rear window frame for rust
Open the top halfway and lift the top up away from the centre section Ictinus can see the green shredded wheat padding or the covers falling apart then the padding g will. I doubt start to fall apart.
Lift the centre section up away from the headliner and check to see if the webbing straps have cut into the base cloth.
