Truck racing

Watched the truck racing at Brands Hatch yesterday, great days racing, only £23, even  the Citroen cv racing was good, anyone else go?

I didn't go to this one but I usually go to the November one, bottom of paddock hill with a couple of 6 ton trucks coming sideways at you through the gravel

I was a Marshall at the very first truck race at Donington Park, when drivers turned up, unhooked their trailers and raced round the track with no experience in the fog.

We stood at our little Marshal posts with a six inch concrete wall between us an the trucks for a full ten seconds!

Saw my first one back in the mid eighties, at brands, Barry Sheene and some other celebs were racing with them, they were unrestricted then as well…along with the jet truck too.

i was busy this weekend otherwise i would of gone down, loads of fun!
