Suspension issues on cabrio

Post

Hi, i just purchased a 91 cabrio. I have front offside rubbing issues with the tyre. The wheels are 14" tyres are 185/60/14. The car is extremely low but dont know how low. What i do know if someone can work it out is that from the centre of the front wheel to top of arch is 300mm and the rears are 310mm, not sure what that should be as standrd but if someone knows then maybe you can tell how much its been lowered. I know a lot of people have 15" wheels and lower their car without any issues, so how low have you gone? ideally i would like to keep my 14s or go to 15s and lower it just so it sits about an inch or  2 above the tyre. Id like some spacers too so need to allow for those. What set ups do you guys and girls have? apparently im on standard shocks, just lowered springs. If i can just change the springs thats great, i dont want hard riding coilovers its as hard as a go-cart now, i need some comfort here too. On my mk4 gti 1.8t i had -40mm eibach springs and standard shocks and the ride height and comfort was perfect, but that was a different car. So, im open to all your advice, comments, and pictures. Thank you.

What offset are the current wheels?
What width?
 Where does it rub?

If you change the tyre width it may stop the rubbing
Maybe a 175/60

It's strange only one side rubs.

Got any piccies?
