Stretched tyres and mots

Settling In
1st mot for my golf since i owned it is coming up. Current running 165 nankans on bbs 15 x 7 inch rims. Never run stretched tyres before not sure how the mot centre will be? Should I expect problems???

I would recon you will as it's not a good practice to stretch the tyre as it can be dangerous but all depends on MOT center and how much they are stretched?

Yoda passed a few weeks ago (just before the new rules came in) but the MOT tester said they'd be fine.

Thanks everyone, won't look for a spare set of wheels just yet then. Mot in four weeks, fingers crossed.

Just an update really. Car was noted under the new rules. Passed with stretched tyres. They just put a caveat in the mot doc saying unable to check how the tyre sits on the bead to cover themselves.
