A sad thing to see in a field with no owner!
Sat in a field, rotting away… one of three locally. Can't believe people let them rot like this instead of getting rid before it's too late.

Shame but yeah I think so. Black limited edition model rotting away down the road and barn roof is dripping down onto it and it makes me cry every time I drive past. The guy won't sell it!

They are properly waiting for the value of Mk1 to up a bit more.
Some very rusty ones on ebay seem to sell for silly money at the moment.

Price of steel goes up and down, price of classic cars seems to steadily go up. But as far as I am aware the price of rust is always low!!! 😂

I saw this on a farm near Banbury about 18 months ago! it didn't belong to the farmer, it belonged to someone who wanted to borrow his workshop for a weekend and it stayed there for a year and the farmer moved it outside because he needed the space. I didn't want to leave it there and I tried to buy it but the owner just wouldn't sell it! Apparantly it got moved to another village down the road after I tried to buy it. It was a shame as it was actually quite solid and very little structural work would have got it mot'd.
Mars red 1.8 GTI tintop now MOT'd and on the road!

Not another one in my area…. it seems this place is a VW Graveyard. That's 4 and counting.
I find it sad how people won't sell… I would rather give it away to someone who would use it. Better than watching it Rot.
I did go and see the chap with two at his house but he was too attached to let either go. His wife still thinks I didn't show up to collect!
