Hi
We would love to display a project Mk1 on our stand at the forthcoming Practical Classics Restoration Show 23rd to 25th March
As it's a restoration show the tattier the better or a car that is mid-way through a resto would be perfect!
I'm happy to cover reasonable expenses to transport the car to the show and will provide a ticket for each of the 3 days of the event
Also… I'm looking to buy a GTi tin top. Anything nice available for about £8k? Could possibly stretch a little for something special. Nothing massively modified
If you can help with either of these I'd be grateful if you could email me dave.youngs@lancasterinsurance.co.uk
Many thanks

Still looking for a resto project for our stand at the NEC in March if anyone is able to assist?
Many thanks

You can have my Campaign resto if you plan on finishing it!!
Congrats on the purchase Dave, you'll have to get some pics up when you've got it.
Is it your first MK1?

Ha. That would be perfect! Not sure you'd want me working on it though!
As a company we're planning to do something special with this Golf. Will reveal the details on here when I can.
I had a 1.5 Mk1 back in the day which was a great car and I was always envious of mate's GTi's.

Practical Classics Restoration Show - Project Car Loan please?
You can have mine on the stand but is not a ratty mess any longer. Under the bonnet needs a lot of work and some interest or parts still to fit
I only live 25 minutes from the NEC so can drive it over if nothing more interesting comes your way.
Not sure the link below will work but search for unintentional project or my profile and you will see a project page on the forum.

Thank you so much for the offer
That's a stunning car and I enjoyed reading the project pages :-)
Unfortunately, with it being a restoration show I am looking for something that needs a big restoration and yours is far too nice!
I really do appreciate the offer though
Many thanks

Depends what you wanna do with it really.
My swallow is mid engine conversion, it's pretty ratty.

Not really looking to 'do' anything with it other than display it
Resto Show visitors like to see the cars in a state of disrepair so we'd like to display a mid-resto one alongside the clean one we've just bought
