Polybush gearbox mount!!!

Anyone know where I can get a polybush rear lower gearbox mount for my cabby?? I've tried everywhere with no joy at all? Any suggestions please

That is an engine mount, and I need a lower gearbox mount. Cheers anyway mate. Still at a loss tho, can't find one anywhere

Have you experience of these mounts? If not, then let me tell you that they're awful, and will transfer so much vibration and harshness through the car. You're better off with a standard Diesel mount by far.

I have a front engine mount fitted and its fine.

Fitted the rear engine mount and all I could take was 1 day.

I'm having too much movement on heavy accelerating that's opening a big gap in my manifold causing the car to tick and sound awful!!
It's really doing my head in

I've changed all the engine mounts to polybush and this is the last one. Got a diesel one but have been told not to fit it as they are rubbish??

You need to look over on club gti at the aftermarket front/rear modified mountings, should solve your problems.

The best mounts are called 'world cup' mounts. Autocavan used to make them, and they cradle the mount differently, which gives much more engine stability. I think ClubGTI want you to join up to order one, and I'm sure they're a hefty price too. 

Club gti don't sell them, their advertisers sell them, you can see these without joining, but yes not cheap, but if they do the job, and actually I think jmr  (who sell a version) is on this site

I looked into it a while back, and I think it was Chris Eyre that was organising them being fabricated once more in a limited number. I bet a few on here would be interested...

Knew I'd read it some time ago.

You can buy the mounts directly from HRP 01428 658 865 they made the original world cup mounts.I would just fit the front one and a diesel rear mount .Front world cup mount is about £85 plus vat .

Finally got my golf back after eventually using a gearbox mount off a diesel. Have to say that it's back up to full power although the ride is extremely hard…… But I like it
