Tonnueu cover for powerhood
I also have a question regarding the two straps with velcro on. Do these fix to the underside of the parcel shelf? If so would there have been the other part of the velcro fixed on the underside? I have made a new shelf with MDF, but my original shelf did not have any velcro on it. I suppose I can staple some onto my new shelf. Also any tips on storing the cover? There must be some good way of doing this as I dont want it damaging. Is it worth just folding it and putting it in a bag?
Many thanks .

The later cars have the press stud to keep the hood down.
The hood you need is one with two straps that Velcro under the parcel shelf and have two bungee cords with a hook - 1 each side to clip onto the bodywork of the inside of the boot area.
Alternatively, you could get older style plastic covers with the press stud already on them.

also i found this confusing (probably just me):
what should he go for later or older ?The later cars have the press stud to keep the hood down.

The tags do indeed go under the parcel shelf. Again mine didn't have anything to attach them to as such. I think the act of wedging them under the parcel shelf probably does enough to keep the front edge down. I too have made another parcel shelf and did indeed staple some velcro under there to help.

So a Early one would suit better.
Do not get a pre 82 one as these don't fit later Cabbies.

This will make you laugh, one of the most common things I have come across with power hoods not working is how people operate it.
It's Key in IGN Barrel, that's it no turning it to any position and deffo not with the engine running.
