Did an original GTI have a brown interior??? golf Cabrio
drivers side scraper?
centre piece on front valance painted?
bit of orange peel look on some paint…
centre console - VDO's? or is just the cover missing
looking at the towing eyes - paint around these, 'base' of the car on the rear… light paint?
behind the grille?  & of course… no Reg plate shown.. somethings not right… personal view..

The front panel support in body paint is my bête noire. It should be matt black. You see loads advertised as 'original' which clearly aren't as evidenced by the lack of matt black paint!

The advert does say "light paint re finishing" which I'm guessing means mop polish not respray?

 

The interior is correct, as the advert says the black roof isn't the right colour, it will have been cream, but I like it better in black. Would have had the smaller front spolier as well.

If that is a solid pretty rust free car looks a nice buy. There was a similar looking car last year with 27k on clock for £14k if I remember.

Really like small bumper cabbys, if only my garage was bigger….

Very smart car! Original or not I wouldn't know but at that price if it is solid it's worth the coin! 

I'm just catching up with this and as Richard commented the brown interior is correct.
A guy where I live has one from new and I think it's done about 30,000 miles now and it's a cracker.

Does (sympathetic) mean cheap?
New suspension makes me cringe a bit with 62,000. Why?
There's a problem with the fitting of the roof about 10" behind the B pillar on both sides, lumps appearing to be from the center lining.
No seen under the bonnet.
No mention of the number of owners, service history or MOT come to that. Although the last shouldn't be an issue.

Lastly I like the way it's been photographed because photos at those angles and more importantly that light can cover a multitude of things. Although to be fair the owner maybe totally unaware of that.

The car looks good there but I'd like to see some clear photos of the car in day light, up close and personal!

Yup all correct I'd one the same B698 GWF ,  Mars red with brown dash and beige interior funny mine had black roof as well ……… 

Just been looking through some old pictures and there is a mix of red cars with black and cream roofs, do think the black suits the car better.  I knew someone who had a cream roof version back in the 80s and it never looked really clean.
