new bonnet required

Can anyone confirm if a Mk 2 golf bonnet will fit my 88 cabby please.

Why don't you get a mk1 bonnet? 

There's nothing about local to Me but local scrap yard has a mk 2 golf in,However they want £95 for it,
Mines got lots of little dings in it and surface rust underneath
