C:\fakepath\image.jpg C:\fakepath\image.jpg Hi All

i have a 1982 Y plated mk1 golf van in black that ive owned for 15 years it started out as a diesel but for as long as ive had it ( and the previous owner a good friend)  its been fitted with a 1.6 petrol from a scirroco or jetta with a 5 speed box its totally solid and reliable and never misses a beat its mot'd and had no advisorys its fitted with OMP race seats as da mussis wouldnt drive it without seats that had head rests!! i still have the originals in genuine pvc (black) and they would fit back in no bother!……Anyway over the last few years ive used it less and less and due to pressure from the long haired colonel and a new car which has taken its space on the drive im looking to sell it but have no idea what to ask for it! i want it to go to a good home to someone who will keep it and enjoy it love it as i have.
As I said This car has been apart of the family for 15 years and ive had some great road trips in her (Uk to north denmark in worst winter ever to norway, scotland, south of france and never missed a beat) so has anyone got any ideas roughly what its worth and what i should ask for it ?
cheers
Pat

Seen these go for a grand and upwards. How much MOT, history etc. You would need to put up a better description and add photo's of all bits of the car. Most panels and inside would need to be seen. All good points and bad points need to be known and rest would be from utmost good faith from your part.

Thanks for the comments all i will take some current pics of all the car once it stops raining and we get something better than semi darkness here in rainy cheshire!!! as for more info about her mot'd till september currently on a sorn current milage on the clock is 15821 (only goes to 99999 then back to zero as your probably aware!) so total milage for van is 115810 which i believe to be correct as clocks were not changed when petrol engine was fitted as for service history when i bought it there was no service book but that didnt matter to me as i did the servicing for the previous owner which is how i came buy the van i said if you ever come to sell her you call me first and he did that was fifteen years ago!! i did sell her about five years later to another friend as i had moved to a flat with limited parking and he needed a car however it was under the previso he only ever sold it to back to me which he did less than a year later as he moved abroad with work and i was back in a house with garage and parking!! i've always serviced her every year regardless of milage (just looked at the paper work i keep for her and her last milage between service was 360 miles doh!!)
anyway will get some pics on over the weekend if ive not drowned by then……damn rain!!

Cheers
Pat

On a serious note, it's a nice looking van mate. If I had some spare cash I'd consider buying it. Good luck with the sale
