Hi,
I am considering selling my Mk1 Driver. I inherited it when my Dad passed last year and thought I would keep for a while but it's been a year and I haven't had the time I would like to take it out much and it's just taking up space. This is not meant as an advert, but I really have very little idea as to how much it would be worth and still undecided as to whether I should sell it.
The car is a 1983 model with around 80k miles. 12 months MOT. Been kept in original condition.
Thanks in advance

Hi, it looks like a really nice example. It's good to see an original un modified one in a good colour.
The Mk1's are rising in value recently, and un-modified ones are getting harder to find, pushing their value up even more…. they appeal to serious enthusiasts.
12 months ago I would have Said around £2K, but I think £3k plus now for one like this.
If you want a quick and easy sale without the associated time wasters, and achieve the best price, I would advise that you enter it into a classic car auction, you could see the price go crazy as it's condition and originality will be desirable to serious collectors.
That's my opinion ,
Good luck, and best wishes!

Thanks Jazzydog. Some good advice there. Useful to get an idea of value, it's in the ball park of what I was guessing but as I said I have nothing to base it on and harder to value a car like this.
Thanks

Y'all get some Crazy prices over there, and I too would say take good photos inside and out, then run it by a auction house and get an appraisal. Also if you take it to a Detailer, and have it cleaned and shined inside and out, you may get more out of it for a little investiture of time and effort if you D-I-Y.

I was once asked whilst detailing a car if it made a difference. Yes was the reply. Would you really want to sell a dirty car and expect the same (top) money.

Would need to see some more pics, is inside wear and tear free?, door cards and dash not been hacked about?, under bonnet, inside open boot, no popup or rusty sunroof etc.
If they are all as good as the exterior pic appears, with a little TLC like refinishing the wheels I could see it making @£3000+
