First owner looking to see whats happened to her
I'm posting this for a close friend back home in Glasgow.
His mum was the first owner of a white mk1 in 1983 and sold it around 1988 due to having kids and needing something bigger, something she regrets to this day (selling the car, not the kids). We've done a bit of research and its still taxed and MOT'd for this year. It has undergone a colour change in its life and is now registered as blue.
Any info you guys have about this car would be much appreciated! Would make a lady very happy to know her pride and joy is still going!

7 previous owners.
Looks like it was involved in a a collision in around 2009 and was declared Cat D.
Looking through the MOT history looks like it went through some extensive work in 2011-2012 to get it road worthy.
Done just over 300 miles in the last year

I owned this car from the early 90's until 2005. It was me that carried out the colour change to aqua pearl blue in about 1997 due to the original paint being more rust coloured than white! Also fitted a Corrado G60 engine around 1999 with uprated charger, pulley and chip. This was a picture in 2005 just before I sold it on ebay. I was using it as my everyday car and needed something bigger for kids, etc. I also still regret the day I sold it
This is amazing!! Thanks so much for the info! I will pass that on and i'm sure my buddy will be very pleased to hear some more of her story! Looks lovely in the blue in that photo.
We have been looking to see what more we can find after 2005 but as yet not found much other than the MOTs.
We have been able to get hold of the address of the MOT station it was last done at and my friend is currently living nearby to there so is going to drop in to see if the MOT guys can give any more info or pass a message on to the owner next time they see it.

Great collection of pics, thanks for sharing! This has made us really determined to track it down post 2005. Would be cool to collect a near full owner history.phantom-photon said

Christ how big were those wheels?
Did mk2 bumpers go straight on?
Only 17"
Mk2 bumpers could be made to fit with a bit of trimming/bodging but the ones I fitted were aftermarket ones specifically designed for the Mk1.

No problem
I also know the owner of the car before me. It was one of my pals.
These are a couple of pics of when he owned it in around 1990/91 (along with his other orange Mk1 in the background).

Cool! He might have been the guy that bought it from my friends mum back when she sold it
