How long to wait for parts?

Post

Evening everyone,  just looking for a bit of advice really. Not having a moan but I ordered a part for my cabby about 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't turned up :(
The part was from a well known supplier, the item said it was in stock and they took the money and emailed to say someone would be in touch to let me know a delivery date, which hasn't happened.
I really want to get the cabby on the road again and this is the only bit I need and with all the brilliant weather we've had I'm really missing not driving it! The other problem is I'm moving house next week too.

The obvious thing would be to ring them but I'm not home until late at this time of year because I'm a tree surgeon so work as long as possible when the suns shining and its not like I can send emails whilst being in a tree all day long lol

What would you guys do?

You can't make a quick call during the day?

You can't want it that badly.

Shouldn't have to be chasing it up, no excuse waiting that long for an in stock part, (which it possibly wasn't) cancel and buy elsewhere.

When you get home, write a email, they will get it when they get in.  State that you would either like a confirmed shipping date, or refund and to respond by email.

There are tons of places that you can source parts for, well not tons but lots…. and also state that you will be giving them a negative nod, in the forums that you use.

If they haven't taken monies out of your account, paypal googlewallet, your bank, then cancel the order.
