Holyhead to Weymouth

Help needed folks from you locals , I'm looking for some advise , I'm going to Weymouth from Holyhead just wondering which is my best route?thanks folks

Google is your friend!!   I would take this blue route highlighted. I went to/from Holyhead from Peterborough last week and the latter half of the route is the way I went.

You could go further up the M6 if you like, but with the roadworks the traffic is likely to be worse - and this route is more scenic.

Cheers mate, the scenic route is what I'm looking for not in a hurry, that's why I posted always best from people's experiences than effin google

There are some excellent driving roads in Exmoor, Drive down to Minehead and then you can either cut across from there towards Exeter and then across to the A303/A30, cut in at Chard/Crewkerne and follow the back lanes to Weymouth from there. Or if you are feeling like a longer drive go from Minehead down to Ilfracombe, cut across to Dartmoor and then up the A380 to the A30 and again cut in at Chard/Crewkerne and across to Dorchester to Weymouth. I think that's right I'm pretty  at the best of times with road names so I'd double check!

I agree with rexzobados, the A303/A30 through chard/Crewkerne is a great run, you can go along the coast road from there, I always go through Axminster, passed Charmouth, Chideok, Brisport etc till Dorchester then through to Weymouth, great little run! If you pass Chard give me a shout, I live near there! Can always stop off for a brew 👍
