Gauging interest in panels no longer made.

I've tried to post this on the Facebook page to gauge interest but it's been declined a few time, apparently it's a wanted add 🤷🏼‍♂️

Here's me trying to give back to the groups but getting rejected.

Anyway as part of my build I need the boot floor and two side sections, I couldn't source any and bodycuts were not worth it with the level of build in going for.

So I suggested to my fabricator if he would make more, so zero profit or gain for me.

I wanted to gauge interest and a rough idea of what to charge.

These are the three sections that have been made and as close to factory lines as possible.

I saw these and thought they were awesome mate.
It’s really difficult to get project ideas off the ground as starting out is really expensive.
Good luck and I hope folks will look at having some.

Thanks 🙏

I can't even take credit for them it's not my work, I'll make zero money or gains from helping people out sourcing these sections from my fabricator.

I don't get why Facebook admin won't allow this but it's ok on here well so far!

I would say the side bits but i thought U could still get a genuine floor?
As to price no idea, hand made yes a lot of work,  probably a candidate for tooling and a press though thats not cheap to start with.

Nope I've been chasing a genuine floor for the last year, mark Carter said no, crazy said yes at first then ran out, contact the two company's in Europe that does panels and got nothing back.

My fabricated has bought the tools and pressing equipment just to make these sections for me and planned to sell it on again but I suggested we could help people by making them.

That's a generous offer Daz, and your mate to help out  other builders as these parts are unobtainable.

I saw a new floor sell a couple of weeks back for £800 but these are few and far between, and likely the sad case of someone else's resto failing

I hope anyone in the position of needing the parts takes up your mates offer while it's there. He could also make a few and eBay them, as prices of parts there seem to go crazy sometimes!

I've searched everywhere for the last 13 months for a boot floor, I did see one the other day which might have been the same one you did.

It's a great idea -
In my humble opinion… the hurdle is that demand will be low, because how many people in the world are doing such a repair on any given month?

So you would need to sell them slowly over time, which means make a load and hold them in stock.

They would only be made to order really just to help people out because no one else makes them.

Couldn't post on owners club Facebook page to gauge interest but plenty of interested on my other pages and into Europe, also a chap in Spain wants a boot floor too.
