Fuel Problem MK1 GTi Cab

Car will start - but after 30 seconds or so - revs drop & engine dies; does not respond to the throttle - always starts; but won't run
Any advice will be gratefully received

Is there a loud whine from the Drivers side rear wheel arch?

It sounds as if you are having fuel deliver issues.
ie: Cold start injector dieing.
Fuel pumps putting out insufficient pressure.

It could aslo be the warm up regulator.
