Are the fuel pipes difficult to fit as i've bought a set of copper solid pipes from eBay at a good price looking where they go through the floor panel and behind the steering rack looks like it might be a pig of a job.

Fuel Pipes
My father in law did mine a few years back and it didn't seem to take him long. He was a plumber by trade though lol. If nobody else gives you a far more useful answer than mine I'll ask him when I see him tmrw

I did them on a MK2 Cavalier I had back in the day and it's a bit of a p.i.t.a to do. They weren't all that easy to bend and you have to go carefull that you don't kink the pipe when you bend it. You might need a pipe bender to form the bends but if you're careful you might be able to bend it bit by bit without kinking them.
Having the car on a ramp would make life much easier.

I fitted some genuine vw ones a few years ago, these came pre formed and you wouldn't want to kink them. Only had an old pair of home made wooden ramps and some scissor jacks, managed ok.

Have spoken to my father in law and he just easily bent the pipes in to shape. Microball plumbing copper. Hope this helps

I have a micro bore pipe bender so I will remove old pipes as carefully as I can and hopefully bend new pipes to suit, still dreading getting round the steering rack, thanks for info

It's not too bad, I managed it with 10mm OD pipes!
You'll probably need to cut the old ones off unless you can get the car massively high in the air. As the originals are steel it's not the easiest, I cut them just after the bend under the floor.
Try feeding the new pipes up from where they enter under the floor pan and go up and around the bulkhead. Unless you have a lift you'll have to do it bit by bit bending as you go.
A bit of a cheat is to use longer flexi pipe that way you don't have to feed so much in and around the steering rack.
Expect much swearing and cursing
Enjoy
