Door cards

Hi all,

I currently have a Mk1 Golf GTI. And I plan to take the door cards off and replace the original cream colour to black leather. Is there a special way of doing this?

A special way of taking the door cards off or having them trimmed?

Yeah I mean a special way of taking them off. 

Not really mate just pop them off make sure your window winder is off and door handles off its very easy

Did any Mk1 GTIs have "original" cream coloured doorcards

I'm not quite sure russt, I'm still learning on the GTI, only got her a few months ago. My interior was originally cream before it got ripped out and replaced with black leather. My plan is to take my door cards off and match with the black leather.
