Am going to be doing my Weber conversion this week and wondered if anyone else changed their air filter at the same time?
A few people I've spoken to have mentioned fitting a K&N filter at the same time. Just looking for any advice from people who've already done this Thanks!

I don't have a Weber but I do have a K&N.
They are supposed to be the best money can buy and you'd need never buy another one.
If cleaned correctly they guaranteed for 1,000,000 miles, or so it says on the packet!

I then fitted the little chrome K&N and the car ran like a pig, far too lean. Bad to start, would choke itself with anything more than 'reasonable' throttle.
Excellent sound from the engine bay though!
If you choose for the filter change, make sure you get the mixture set up to run correctly. I didn't and ended up using a bit of gaffer tape to shut off 2/3 of the filter, which did actually have the desired effect. Then I got the mixture sorted too.
Also, you need to connect the rocker cover breather to the air filter also. I'd offer you mine, but thats another item that TSR felt the need to keep when they done my engine conversion.
