Can you buy Audi parts from VW?

Sounds like a daft question I know, but I need a few parts that I think might be Audi specific to renovate my 02J tower before I fit it to my 02A gearbox.

There's a short shift part 8N0 711 046 and relay shaft 1J0 711 202P that I think are from the Audi TT, everything else is from the mk4 Golf.

The only reason I ask is that the Audi garage is further away and in the opposite direction to my local VW garage, so if I have to go there I may as well get the VW parts from the sister VW garage which is nearby.

A bit of digging on partsbase.org and it turns out all the VW parts I needed are common to the Audi TT so at least I'll only have to go to one place. Just have to hope Audi don't apply a premium to identical parts…

Go to tps they sell both and a lot cheaper genuine parts

Some tps like oxford won't deal with you if you don't have an account or can't prove your in the trade.some say tps are cheaper that's not true if you use them regularly or know the person your dealing with then you may get an extra discount but the list price for any joe is the same or near abouts. I got a price on a steering wheel for my mk5 at tps using a friends account and it was pence difference to what I was quoted at my local dealer as someone that just walked of the street.

I had a look at TPS after reading the above but I wouldn't qualify to register and an internet search came up with a number of people saying the same as you Luke-different branches seem to apply different rules and VW have really clamped down on TPS selling to retail customers. Also that non-service items are often no cheaper than from the dealers.

My nearest TPS is half an hour away and I don't fancy a wasted journey so will stick with the dealer for this one. Thanks for the input though.

if the part is audi specific the vw dealer most likely wont order it for you, unless you're lucky and ask them very nicely. but it wont cost a premium to order from audi. well, over the top of the VAG group price premium that is

if you want a part which is fitted to vw, seat, audi and skoda the price will be the same regardless of what dealer you order it from, put it that way.
