Broken down

I broke down yesterday on the a500 going to Crewe the dreaded clutch cable pulled though the bulk head. I would just like to thank the driver of the red tin top Gti that was going in the opposite direction that turned around and came to make sure I was ok . I didn't get his name but thought he might be on hear.   

That's a common problem but not a big problem to sort out. You can buy a bulkhead repair plate that gets welded on.I have just bought a self adhesive plate from GSF that strengthens the bulkhead and is a preventative measure so I don't end up like you did.I was advised to do this by some guys last week at a local meet. It was good that someone came to see you were ok.

i have ordered one of the self adhesive ones just to see me through till the winter. Ill be taking the engine out to do a few jobs and ill sort out the bulkhead out at the same time.
