All need a little help.
Mother in law has asked me to sell her TT. 2010 55k miles. Service history etc. She has owned it since new and it’s been serviced etc.
I am getting the wheels redone as they are Kerb’d all round but not too bad.
I don’t know how much to put it up for. Does anyone have an ideas on these. I see some at 7k and others about 12k+.
She is 70 this year so lady owner, never been driven in real anger etc. If I had room I would keep it but can’t with having the mk1.
Random thoughts on this welcome.

Tricky one, does sound nice with one (mature) lady owner, low miles and FSH.
But as you've spotted it is now becoming just another old car and up against TTs that aren't one owner, low miles, FSH etc and priced to sell as such.
Also no matter how nice, personally I'd be wary of sinking a very large amount into private sale of a complicated older german car with no warranty that you'd get from a dealer, due to the fear of complicated older german car repair bills.
If you have time to wait and it really is a top of the market car advertise at towards the top dealer prices outlining its provenance and see if it attracts any buyers. If not you can drop the price.
EDIT: Another thought, sports coupes are out of favour, see Scirocco and original Ford Puma not being replaced, or rather being replaced by SUV pretend 4x4s etc. If it was a Q3 you'd prob be able to think of a number.

The VW website also has a good price checker which is based on CAP too.

The other way is to look at similar cars on eg Auto Trader, but then you've found there's a lot of variance here. AT also has a valuation checker too.

Roadster or tin top? Quattro or FWD? Manual or DSG? Service history is it all Audi or from Pete's garage down the road.
Prices are pretty strong for these cars.
Assuming it's a decent colour…
£6-7k for a manual tin top FWD with part independent and part Audi history. £7k+ I'd ask with full Audi history.
I'd ask £9k+ for an automatic Quattro roadster (that would be a fairly rare car) again based on part Audi and part independent, maybe £9.5k if it has full Audi history.
One of the things I always do is shove my reg in we buy any car. They'll knock a few quid off as they do but it gives you a base line for the car value.
Prices are pretty strong for these cars.

Audi TT TFSI
It’s getting some paint work touched up and going up for 8k in about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.
Silver with bbs split rims, manual 55k miles part Audi part others service history and I just done all 4 coil packs and plugs so now running like it should.
Let’s see what auto trader gives us.
