I got a 1982 1.6 and mine is in white

I can't find my brochure for that model year, to be 100% sure but-

VW changed the model specs of the cars over the summer breaks each year, so early 1982 cars will have the spec that changed in Sept 81, which I think was-

Mars Red
Diamond Silver
Black

From sept 82 I think they added Alpine White

However to add to the mix the early 80s was a time when personal imports were popular so you can find examples of Inari Silver as well.
