1.8t bam conversion in 1988 mk1 golf gti cabby

Hello all, I'm about 80% sure I'm going to be made redundant within the next few months and fortunately I will be given a sizeable chunk of money. Apart from moving house I was considering spending a little on a 1.8t bam engine conversion with all he trimmings. 

Before I seriously look into it I was wondering if you guys could help with a rough estimated cost and also what parts are needed. If they are custom or can be bought etc. I'm looking for standard ish bam engine and will need to change front and rear brakes and suspension. 

You help would really be great.
