WANTED Mars Red Mk1 GTI tin top PROJECT

Hi,

I am seeking a Mars Red MK1 GTI for a full restoration project, to an original specification excluding brakes and suspension.

Requirements:

Must be Mars Red (could flex if doesnt need respray)
No rolling shells, engine must be present
Preferably original 1.8 or original 1.6 also ok, but no 2.0/other transplant jobs
Does not need to be mechanically sound, though preferably a runner
Prefer no sunroof (like everyone) however if it does must be factory sunroof not aftermarket
Bodywork needs to be in good shape, paintwork not so important
MOT not important as long as advisories/issues are known
Interior dash must be original with all items present even if not all functioning
Interior seat/carpet/headlining condition not so important but need to be present
Needs to be within 100mile radius of Warfield in Berkshire unless you can deliver it if its not running
