Mk1 Golf GTI wanted.

I'm looking for a GTI with MOT and preferably tax for rolling project.  Needs to be running and able to drive.  Bodywork isn't massively important.  I would prefer a late series 2 1800 or an early series 1 1600.

I can spend up to £1500.

both are rust free fully mot,d and serviced with no faults.
we are located at junction 29a of the M1 Derbyshire.
Its a long way but we can pick you up from the train station and you can drive your car home ?.

Mint condition, only thing that needs attention is a rip in the head liner but i've not experienced any problems with leaks

Hi, I have a 1985 1.8 GTI cabby for sale, it has 11 months MOT & 5 months Tax, just had new rear springs & shocks for MOT, in the past 12 months it's had New valves, head skimmed, cambelt & full service, new radiator, new oil cooler, new expansion bottle, It is structurally sound, It is also mechanically great, the roof doesn't leak.
To be perfectly honest the cosmetics are far from good, at some time in it's life a previous owner has resprayed it (very badly) and the paint is now crazed in places, peeling off in others & bubbled up in other places but there is no bare or exposed metal work, The interior needs a revamp too as it has mismatched seats.
I need to downsize my vehicle collection so selling off a few, I have too many projects on the go and just won't get around to returning the car to it's justified potential.

£850 o.n.o as I need the space it's occupying.

Hello mate, I have an '83 Lhasa green GTI sat in the garage doing nothing that I have been thinking about selling.

Not a minter but pretty solid. Arches have been sorted and rear quarters and rear panel painted at the same time. Good interior, all round a tidy car. Perfect for your uses I reckon.

I'll get it MOT'd but not taxed for £1500 if that's of any interest to you…?









Sits on standard tarantula alloys atm.

Thanks for the offer.  I'm not into Cabbys though.  I have picked up a a tintop now, so no longer looking for another mk1.  Well, I don't mind buying more mk1s, but the wife wouldn't be too happy…
