VW GOLF MK1 GLS MORE DOOR

Up for sale is my much loved mk1 golf which i have owned since 19.04.09
It has tax until the end of May 2011 and m.o.t until May 21st 2011
Is rather a reluctant sale but as this is not my only car and wanting another corrado i'm having to sell it to raise the cash.
I'll go through everything as thoroughly as i can.

Engine: It is a 1.5 with a 4 speed manual box. The Head has been changed for a 1.6, has a weber twin choke carb and manual choke with a k&n panel filter fitted. 4 Branch manifold and after market back box. Had an oil and filter change less than 3k ago. Have just recently changed the fuel filter and was running alittle lumpy so have changed the rotar arm and distributor cap which has now cured this.
Engine leaks no oil or water and still feels very quick for what it is.

Chassis: It has height adjustable coilovers fitted less than 1k ago, all new rear shoes, drums and handbrake cables. Front discs and pads still have plenty of life left in them. The wheels are just standard mk2 driver wheels all with plenty of life left in the tyres.

Exterior: Car has had a respray at some point in its life and had the roof painted white. Rare original chrome striped plastic gl bumpers, roof rack, yellow tinted standard headlights, new front indicators, new wiper blades.

Interior: Have replaced the dash board as the old one had cracked and split around the windscreen heater vents, geniune parcel shelf, original seats. Have replaced the door cards with blue leather ones but still have originals to match the seats.

Also included in sale: Both front and rear chrome screen trims as old ones have faded. 5 litres of oil and brand new oil filter. Original grey door cards. Spare 86k 1.6 engine and 5 speed box.

Now the bad bits: Speedo stopped at 116846, so i replaced it with another which worked for alittle while but then that stopped aswell! Mileage now shows 129242 but at the same time the speedo stopped working so am thinking it might just be the cable. Rev counter still works fine though. Body work isn't mint but is very good and certainly is not rotten. Some numpty at some point has jacked the car up on the wrong part of the sills on all 4 corners which has resulted in them being squashed!

Other than that though i feel it is a great little car which is fun to drive and gets attention where ever it goes, even the air cooled guys give me thumbs up when passing.
