Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1 1.8 16v 1982 Flash Red £5250 o.n.o

I am selling my Mk1 Golf due to starting a new project and buying a house. Since I have owned the car I have spent a lot of time, money and effort restoring it to the standard it is at now, adding all the original features such as GTI decals, brand new emblems, full VDO Gauge set and having the seats reconditioned and upholstered in the original GTI Seat fabric supplied by Eurowagens.

The car was originally a 1.6 GTI. The previous owner began restoring the car. He had it resprayed in VW Flash Red opposed to the original Mars Red. This colour is a lot richer and brighter than the usual faded Mars Red examples you can find.

The car shows 113k on the clock but the 1.8 16v engine that was a donor from an early mk2 16v, has covered approximately 95k to my knowledge. Still registered as a 1.6 GTI.

VDO Gauges - Voltage, Oil pressure and Oil Temperature
Land Rover Defender pop-up sunroof recently installed due to an obsolete leaky seal and it being the closest size available in pop-up style
Crystal clear headlights
Aero wiper blades
GTI Decal side striped
Chrome grille trim
Single lamp grille (original twin lamp grille can be included in the sale if requested)
Both outer scrapers due to shrinking (lower seals for door windows)
Both upper channel guide seals (upper seals for door windows)
Good parcel shelf with no tears or sagging
New scuttle panel rain tray
CD/MP3 Player
