For sale is my Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet with two tone grey finish.

I have had the car for a year and have been completing a restoration of sorts. The previous owner, a friend of mine, bought the car in 2006 and did the majority of the work. She drove it daily and covered 15,000 miles since owning it. In January 2007 the engine was refurbished and the timing belt changed at a cost of £1089. Over the last 6 years there are receipts for over £5000 worth of work and parts. These include:

New hood
Full respray
Wheels refurbished
Engine refurbished (only covered 5000 miles since)
Gearbox refurbished
New clutch
New carpet

A lot of money has been spent on this car and it has been lovingly cared for. There are 2 projective covers included in the sale. It is excellent throughout barring a few issues which I will mention for honesty purposes:

Glove box is sealed in place as it was ripped out at some point the fixings destroyed. This requires a new dash to fix?
Roof is heavy as the gas struts have been removed

For an engine that has covered 193,000 miles it still runs brilliantly. There are receipts for so much work making sure this car runs well. I did an oil change about 6 months ago and also replaced the battery. Tyres have excellent tread and are good quality rubber.

It is currently SORN - please bear this in mind if you wish to test drive it.
MOT is due October 2013 although it's only done 50 miles since it passed last year with no advisories.
