This is my red Sportline up for sale.  I've had GTIs for the last 20 years now and the time has come to try something else, maybe and old Porsche! I looked for a long time before buying this one 18 months ago. Previous few owners had kept the Golf only as third car for shows and sundays, bit like myself.

When I got the Golf everything was really tidy, verging on spotless, but there where some original parts that needed replacing. The Golf went to a local classic car specialist Mario at 'GoPerformanceCars.'
Work done as follows:
New clutch, clutch cable, bulk head plate for clutch, cam belt, wishbones and balljoints, front engine mount, bushes, starter motor, battery, Front discs and pads, rear drums, shoes and bearings and new black mohair hood. These were all quality parts.
I've got photos and receipts for all parts.

The Sportline has a documented box file full of everything that's ever been done, mostly VW. The service book is stamped up to 99k. All the original manuals are there in the grey wallet too! I haven't counted but I'm sure every MOT is there too. I've been driving the Golf every weekend lately and it drives really well with no odd noises or rattles, MFA works perfect as well. Bodywork is really clean and straight with no rust at all. There are tiny stone chips on rear wheel arches just by stickers, guess this is normal with original paintwork. Wheels are really clean with locking nuts as is the interior. No marks or holes and virtually no wear on the seat bolster either. It has a CD stereo and immobilizer. It has a breathable cover for when it's on the drive.
