I picked this up yesterday from a member on here and as you might hate read I faced a couple of minor problems on way home.  

The car overheated, the fan wasn't working so a new fan switch is required. NEW FAN SWITCH FITTED and working!

The car started to judder under load, mainly going up hill. -I suspect this to be rust in fuel tank, will be investigating on 10/5 and 11/5.

Both of these things can be rectified but the price will be what I paid £1000 firm.

I have also spent nearly£100 on parts inc thermostat, fan switch, temp gauge sender, rotor arm, fuel filter, air filter, fan belt, dash lights, dash vent inserts, coolant (will give it a full flush) and spark plug.

All of these things will be fitted by 12/5.

if you want it as is then I will let it go for 900 firm. I am open to offers as is for a quick sale!

I love the car but think it may not be suitable for the 30 plus miles daily commute I have to do!!!

 Very solid car, no rot at all. Only ever had a couple of tiny welding repairs (rear wheel arches and spare wheel/rear valance area). Original paint is not perfect by any means but looks respectable from a few feet away. Aftermarket sunroof fitted early in the car's life. Great engine (123k miles)- super-reliable. Interior is tidy, but not perfect. Not a mint example by any means, but it is a cheap usable Mk1! MoT December 2012, Tax May 2012.
