The car has probably done about 3 track days since the engine build and pulls like a train and has never let me down - not once!
There are a couple of blemishes to what is a very nice standard of car. There is bubbling to paintwork around the sunroof and boot lid edge which is norma l for the MK1's. You will also note some paint missing on the nearside rear quarter by the door - this came off when I removed one of the graphics and has annoyed me as teh bodywork was spot on, but it is left the primer and wont rust at least!
There is a spare set of TSW alloys with Toyo tyres which have life left in them as do the main set on the Borbet C's.
Overall the car is in very good condition Tim at Renn-Tech looked after the car for me and whatever it needed it was taken care of. If I was to total the cost over the past years I would imagine it to be close to £6k that has spent on her.
Any inspection welcome. If you are after fun and an adrenalin rush on the track then this is an inexpensive way to get it. and you would without doubt surprise some bigger engined motors out there at the traffic lights - not that I am condoing or encouraging such a thing :-)
Any questions or viewings then please feel free to contact me,
I am sure I have missed something but will update as it floods back to my memory……………….
I have been asked to check areas for potential rust so thought I would revise this advert:
1. Bonnet Hinges - no rust
2. Sills - no rust
3. Cross member to body - no rust
4. Front strut mounts - no rust
5. Rear strut mounts - no rust
6. Tailgate hinges - no rust
7. Tailgate edge - rust but not through yet! Would require plating in my opinion - not big job
8. Sunroof - rust on drivers side and I have been able to push a hole through about 1/8inch diameter. This will need plating.
