Nice Golf 1.1 Formel E (1983 mk1)

Right, I am selling my newly aquired 1983 Mk1 1.1 Formel e!!  Why, because it is the wrong colour!  I bought the car for nostalgia reasons after I saw it listed, but the pictures I saw made it look Green rather than blue, and a green formel e was my first ever car.  I felt bad for the guy I had committed to buying it off so I bought it anyway knowing it would sell for what I paid for it.

It has a GTi interior, quad lights, no damage at all to speak of apart from a small rust spot on the petrol cap and a small rust spot on drivers door - other than that I was quite taken with the condition it is in.

only 76000miles, no damage to the seats

Genuine campaign alloys which are mint and probably worth something on their own.

I wont break this as it doesnt deserve it, and as soon as I bought it I had a 50 mile drive back home and loved it.  I even noticed a few looks at the car when I was on the mway!

The reason sounds daft, but the only reason I bought this car was because I thought it was an exact copy of my first car 13 years ago, and due to the colour it isnt!  Now Ill be back to my original plan of buying a GTI!

See how it looks green and not blue in the pics?  The blue is a nicer colour actually, but i was only buying it since i thought it was the green i used to have when 17yrs old  (13 years ago)

Note the L plates, so it has hardly been thrashed recently ha.  It was the previous owners wife's learner car.

It really is a nice car, and the bloke i bought it from was desperate it went to a good home - I would like it to too

yeah - is a nice example - only 76k on the clock too, plenty left in the engine to get it up to the number of miles i have seen elsewhere on MK1s.

I'll give you guys a couple of days and then whack it on ebay ang get as much as poss!

by the way, i would also consider a swap with a family type car, although it pains me to say it! i.e. laguna!!  Just got the missus a Seat Leon Cupra, so at least we have one VAG hatch car in the family!
