MK1 GTI black cabrio for sale

Unfortunately that time of true realisation has hit me where by I know I won't be able to restore my golf for another 4 years or so due to study's taking up my weekends so I've got to let her go. I've got a stripped down MK1 GTi cabby for sale (B reg) - I'm open to offers and can send photos if you give me your email address. The car has been under a cover for the last 18 months and doesn't run - so will need to be towed. There is various rust and holes throughout and it has been sat for a long time so will have some mould etc. When I bought the car a couple of years ago it was fine and just needed a really good makeover! It would be ideal for spares or even a project for the more venterous person. I'm not looking for crazy money and just want it to go to a good home - there is a full history with it and I have several boxes of spares that friends have donated over the years!

Is there anyone brave enough to continue this dream?

Despite having recently changed my daily driver to a 350z I have honestly still never driven a car quite like the MK1 - such character that I don't think can be found in any other vehicle!

Am based in Cambridge, was looking for ?100 - but since I've been away on hols and seen a couple more mk1's I'm still tempted to maybe give it another go and try and get her fully restored…
