MK1 GTi 1.8 for sale
1983 Y reg, 5 door
MOT until: April 2008
TAX until: October 2007
I am the third owner of this car, the first, ownded it for over 20 years! (he was a British soldier stationed in Germany and used the car on his trips to and from the UK) I have lots of paperwork, service receipts etc, some of it being in German.
The second owner fitted 15" minilite type alloys and slightly lowered and stiffened the suspension.
It was originally a 1.6 diesel, but since owning it I have had a 1.8 digifant GTi with a four branch manifold, custom exhaust and GTi gearbox, at a cost of in excess of ?1,000. (might need a new speedo as it goes way past the 120, but only tried once on a private runway :-)
There was some rust on the wheel arches, but I have had new arches fitted and resprayed, however all other paintwork is original.
The interior of the car is excellent apart from a split in the leatherette on the drivers seat. The interior is as new apart from having a CD player fitted, the parcel shelf remains intact!
I have just had the car valeted and the paintwork was treated to 2 coats of Zymol Concours and looks stunning, as can be seen in the photographs.
I am reluctantly parting with this vehicle as I need to raise funds for a business venture.
Any questions welcome, viewing and or inspections highly recommended.
