I have owned the car for around eight years where I purchased it from a farmer who had it stored in a barn for a number of years. Over the years I have spent my time working on the car and modifying it to as you can see today. I?m now selling it due to moving house and do not have space on the drive or have the time to spend with it.

As with a car of this age there are good points and bad points which I will go into below, however it has just been through an MOT. The Car drives well and has a good deal of power considering the age of the vehicle! Insurance has worked out pretty reasonable, I pay around ?250 per year on a classic car policy full comp and with the insurance company aware of all the modifications. (I can give the buyer the contact details for insurer if necessary). The mileage is around 85k however the clock says in the 94k as the original one broke and replaced it with the one currently in the vehicle.

Good points:

Complete engine strip down, clean and rebuild including new valves, head, injectors.
New water pump and radiator.

Unleaded fuel conversion ? I recommend only using Shell Optimax or a 99 ron fuel.
New suspension system including 60mm lowering springs
Full powerflex kit including: front wishbone inner and rear bush
front anti roll bar mount and outer mount

                                               rear beam mounting bush

rear anti roll bar inner and outer bush

                                               steering rack mount

Comes with amplified 6 x 9 speakers installed in the back.
Tyres are in a as new condition

I hate to think how much money I have spent on the car over the years but it has to be in excess of 20k. I?m probably forgetting loads of stuff but I?ll add things as I remember!!

Bad points

Few chips and dinks on the paint work which you would expect with a car of this age but otherwise bodywork is in excellent condition. Needs a good polish. Windscreen wipers need a paint.
Exhaust blows a little but was not enough to fail the MOT
Some plum (me) has put the new steering wheel not on straight. (I?ll try and straighten it if I get time.
No bonnet prop to hold bonnet open. (lost it in re-spray but should be fairly easy to get a replacement
No bonnet release handle, again lost in re-spray so at present I pull the wire which the handle was connected too to open the bonnet.
The car has not really been used to any length in around 3 years so the engine needs a good tune up. Always starts first time and has not let me down. As a result of needing a tune up the engine revs sometime drop quite low when you take your foot off the gas, it then immediately picks back up again though and does not stall. Good tune should sort this out. I?d advise if driving a long way home to follow another vehicle because as said not really used in three years.
Audi A6 door handles can be a bit stiff and to be honest the automatic door opener can be annoying as it overrides the door handle meaning that it can?t be opened from the outside. This means you have to go round to the passenger door if you leave your keys in the car! This can however be removed to standard door opening and locking.
Drivers out door window seal is missing, however any window seal from most cars could be used in this location.
The electric rear windows have been disconnected as they were operated on the same circuit as the stereo, the wires are still all in place however I?m unsure if they fully work. The drivers side rear window is in the down position which is handy if you lock your keys in the car! A manual winder can be used however it would need to be behind the stereo boxing.
Front alloy wheels suffering a little from salt corrosion but nothing major.
Due to the stereo removal some wires and removed vynal are showing in the rear of the car. I have however got the roll of black vynal from when I first converted the car so will include this in the sale.
Car could do with a clean inside.
