Here is my much loved Mk1 Golf Rivage. Being a Rivage, it comes with electric windows, power hood and factory fitted bodykit. This car has been in the family for six and a half years and has never let me down. It has taken several years of hard work to get it to the condition it is now in. 3 years ago I replaced the hood for a mohair hood like the hood that it would have originally been fitted with. The paintwork is almost all original and is perfect condition with only a very small ding in the front wing and a few stone chips on the bonnet. Knowing how important it is to try and save these very rare collectable cars, I have looked after this car and kept it in great condition. I have changed the wheels to 16" Borbet A wheels which are in great condition and have never been hit or curbed.

The seats have only just, in the last couple of months, been custom replaced with Mk5 Golf GT seats in the front and the back and they really look great in there. The carpets, dash board, steering wheel and door cards are all original and in great condition. Also, I had the car professionally fitted with central locking, immobiliser and car alarm. The front lights have been replaced with crystal clear lights and the back lights are clear and red. It has pressed german style number plates and a MK2 style debadged front grill. I have changed the suspensions over to coilovers and I have also changed the exhaust to a Jatex full exhaust.

This car has been my pride and joy and the only reason I am selling this car is because it was in an accident where someone went into the back of me. As you can see from the pictures there is not too much damage. I have a replacement bootlid in perfect condition (just needs preping and spraying) which I will sell with the car, the back lights are not damaged in any way. There will need to be a new back panel and the floor pan will need straightening out and the two side panels will also need working on. The bumper is fine but will need spraying. The badges, number plate and plate bracket are all fine too. There is no MOT on the car at present but I will put it through before it sells.

The car has a CAT D relating to the car being reported stolen on 07/07/98, it was later recovered and so has never been written off in a prior accident.
