1980 Mk1 Golf GTI rolling shell with most parts included to build a complete car. Very good condition shell, doors etc. Reskinned roof to take out sunroof (complete roof done). It's been dry stored for over 10 years - there is some light surface rust on the cage and small bits of exposed bodywork, but generally it's a very solid, good condition shell. The main shell is silver, roof is green, front wings and bonnet were new about 15yrs ago so have some rust under the black primer they come in. This will need work, full respray and everything putting back together.
Fully welded in multi-point cage (no door bars fitted yet). Powder coated rear beam with disc conversion (Mk3 calipers), 280mm front disc conversion kit, Bilstein sport dampers (i think the fronts are Bilstein inserts, but can't be 100%). Most parts to complete the car with the exception of seats and engine (main parts). Ideal trackday / race style road car, or poss sprints/hill climbs etc. I was going to build it as a road-legal Nurburgring  / trackday toy but I've got too many other car/work/hobby commitments. Currently SORN and V5 is in my name/address.

Included are complete set of Powerflex bushes, new steering arms (pattern), bearings (pattern), new rear lights (pattern), new top mounts (pattern), new bumpers (pattern), cross drilled front discs (rears already fitted), front recon calipers (rear mk3 calipers already fitted), 280mm Rally Design caliper conversion kit, badgeless grille (new), eyebrow spoiler (new), brake pads (F&R new), Eibach Anti-roll bars (rear already fitted), Sparco front upper strut brace, lower strut brace, 2 x new front wishbones with Powerflex bushes, adjustable twin master cyl pedal box.
