Description:

This is a rare 1.8 GTi 'Christmas Cabriolet' in white with contrasting blue interior and mohair hood. Overall the car is in very good condition, with minor blemishes that are typical of a car of this age and could be easily sorted with minimal fuss. The interior is in very good condition, which is rare for a 'CC'. Bodywork is fitted with a Clipper Kit, lowered slightly and sitting on virtually new 15" G60 Steels with a small amount of stretch on tyres that have done around 500 miles max.  Includes electric windows, remote central locking with two fobs, insurance certified alarm & immobiliser and CD player.

I bought it as a summer car to be used on weekends and when the weather was looking good (which wasn't that much last year, so it has done less than 1000 miles between the last two MOTs!).  Garaged in the winter and when the weather is poor.  I searched long and hard for a Cabby that was a little unique and had that extra spark about it and I'm sure any prospective new owners would feel the same way. I have done a few bits through my ownership to get her looking her best and running well, and it has wanted for nothing in terms of repair or servicing. The car really needs very little to be top class but for the sake of clarity needs the following to be 'near perfect'.

- Drivers Side door dropped slightly.  Just out of line, everything is sealed.
- Speedo isn't accurate - a few MPH out.
- Drivers seat bolster has started to wear below the fabric.  Fabric is in tact but the foam beneath is thinning.

Very sad to have to be selling and would prefer it goes to a VW enthusiast.  Selling to fund furniture for my new house; priorities, eh?!  Was on ebay recently but didn't reach my reserve.  Price now reduced to sell.
