For sale is my Mk1 VW Golf Campaign 1983.  I am selling becuase I need to upgrade to a larger car and am looking for a VW Transporter.  The car has 11 months MOT with NO ADVISORIES.

No welding has been done, and none is needed in the near future. The car was resprayed in original black about a year before I bought it (March 2008). It has the original interior, which is still in excellent condition. The wheels are 14" BBS alloys, which are also in great condition.

The exhaust on the car at the moment is nice and loud - if you don't like that sort of thing it comes with a free second hand standard exhaust in good condition.


Work done in the last couple of years includes:

A 16 valve engine conversion by the previous owner.  This comes with an engineer's certificate, which means that the engine was fitted safely and to O.E. standards.
Breaks upgraded to larger Mk2 16 valve breaks, and Mk2 16 valve disc conversion on rear with braided break lines to aid breaking power.
Specially designed 4-brack exhaust manifold to fit orignial system.
Stainless steel exhaust.
Suspesnsion upgraded with Bilstein B12 shocks and springs, still on original ride height, which makes for a nice drive.
New track rods fitted, new o/s/f and o/s/r wheel bearing.
New cv boots and steeing rack gaitors.
Additions over the last couple of years include: respray, new bumpers, new side decals, rear lights, grill, windscreen, chrome side trims, crome euro style filler cap, new front splitter.
Most recent additions: brand new rear callipers, master cylinder, handbreak adjusted and working well, injectors, starter motor, spark plugs.
Tyres are in very good condition.


Points:

The cold start is now on a switch, which makes a pretty good anti-theft device!
The roof lining isn't in best condition, and could probably do with replacing.  I have checked ad there are loads of companies that do it.  It is not expesive - just a job I haven't got round to yet.
Speedo not currently reading, but I have the replacement speedo drive.  Easy to fix - again, no time.
The sunroof has a scratch on the top of it and could do with a new seal.
The car is sold as seen.

Mfa not reading correct information. The sunroof is a steel one could do with looking at. The car is very

solid underneath and no sign of work needing to be done in near future.aND and very straight
