Mk1 Golf GTi 16V. Mars Red Tin Top,Pro Conversion, (SOLD!!)

1983 Stunning fully renovated MK1 Golf GTi 1.8 16 valve
Mars Red in colour with factory fit steel sliding sunroof which operates perfectly and does not leak.

Receipts for upwards of £10,000.00 on work done.

Awesome GTI centre in Eccles, Manchester undertook a 1.8 MK2 16 valve engine conversion at the cost of over £3500.00. Along with this is an A4 laminate graph showing the current engine bhp, which peaks at 152.9 BHP.
This was a full and comprehensive engine conversion done by specialists to the highest specification.

Externally the car looks as it should do with no added spoilers or body kits from the standard.

Stunning condition inside and out with no rust to speak of anywhere.
A full comprehensive service history supports this car along with MOT's going back to the 1980's.

A full HPi report supports the vehicle showing no accident damage or total loss.

The bodywork of the vehicle is in superb condition with no rust or major blemishes and is polished to a very high standard.
The underneath of the car, inner wings and rear suspension mounts are in A1 condition showing no signs of rust.

The suspension has been lowered by 30mm to compliment the higher performance of this car. The suspension, front / rear brakes are all brand new, as is the steering lower arms etc.

Mk2 Master cylinder upgrade installed to vastly improve the braking power over standard Mk1.

The fuel system from tank to filters, to pumps, again are all new. None of your usual Mk1 worries here.

A brand new clutch system and gear box oil undertaken with no problems at all on the five speed gear box. The linkage is in superb condition.

A VW Passat fan and radiator is fitted with a full anti-freeze change, along with a full cylinder head gasket and valve upgrade. Also recently added a new starter motor.

15 inch "ATS Cup" alloys which are as brand new with as brand new Yokahama low profile tyres. These are the only exterior modifications to set this from standard. My favourite wheels, but I have a choice of three types of alloys if these are not your cup of tea?

A full stainless steel exhaust system is fitted with a nice sporting rasp from the sensible sized back box. Four branch tubular stainless performance manifold also fitted.

Inside the vehicle has had a full red over black leather interior conversion using the finest leather available and incorporates red double seamed stitching on the edge of the trim. To compliment the seats the front and rear door cards are again trimmed in red and black leather. Smells like a new car and sets the whole package off perfectly. Carpets are in excellent condition, parcel shelf and door cards are uncut and speaker free.

A single slot cd/mp3 player is also fitted, along with brand new upgraded speakers into the standard pods to keep it all looking right and sounding fine. Nothing cut!

An Insurance approved and certificated Thatcham 2 immobiliser is also fitted.

Lots of other small items changed here and there where required with receipts for everything. Too many to list here.

Car restored and built to high standards and certainly not the usual half finished rubbish that seems to be about of late. A true appreciating modern classic. Everything works on the car and it needs no work what so ever that I can think of.

Wolfsburg wheel is now replaced with a standard item, but I can include both of them if the price is right and you don't try to have my eyes out.

Other spares also available at additional premium and as separate negotiation.

Lots more pictures if required.

Don't forget these are now classed as classic cars and so are cheap to insure and you don't need to use your no claims discount. I also notice the value now starting to sneak up.

Currently on SORN from Feb 1st. MOT will be due in the next few months but I can put on a 12 month ticket if required, prior to sale to give confidence.

Lots more pictures and any extra info available if required.

Looking for £4500. Who would like to start the bidding?
