Mk1 Golf Cabriolet GL 1.6

For sale is my mk1 golf cabriolet. 1988 GL 1.6.
£1950
I am after a quick sale so am open to sensible offers.

12 Months MOT
 6 Months Tax
95,000 Miles
The rest of my 1 Year membership to the mk1 owners club (if that's aloud?!?!)
She's in a lovely rare metallic blue colour, which is original.

My insurance company say she's the only one of this type in the UK, and there is evidence to suggest that from various bits of paper I have. The car was imported in 2003. However, this doesn't make her expensive to insure, don't worry!

This car would make a perfect project for someone who's into tweaking, or perfect just as she is to be enjoyed. I'd love to sell her to someone who will enjoy her as much as me.

Runs and Drives beautifully, a true mk1 golf. Any test drive is MORE than welcome.

I've literally spent hundreds on her over the past months, everything you'd expect: cambelt, timing belt, battery, radiator, four tyres ETC.

Included int eh sale is everything i have related to the car: bodykit, GTI grill, spare headlmps, VW windscreen wipers, door cards and pockets. JVC Sterio, pioneer speakers.

The roof does let this car down, it has a few rips in both the headliner and the roof itself. However the roof does not leak with rain, but does let some water in when you hose her down.
There is a patch of rust on the back boot, this has been treated - and will need looking at when the roof is replaced. (only access)

There is a small bump on the passenger side bumper, see pictures. This did not affect the MOT.
In the past, the car has had central locking installed, which hasn't been done well - I've taken this out and replaced it with a key locking system, much better - however not quite finished yet but all parts are included.  A good little project!  The car has an immobiliser. It's works very well.

I bought this car with the full intention of keeping her forever! However, having split up with my girlfriend, I've found myself wanting to move out and I simply can't afford to keep her - if I did she'd just be sat in a garage not being enjoyed and that would be no good! I'm a massive golf fan and have had loads over the years,  this will always be the best.

You need to drive her with three gorgeous girls in the back, roof down, music, and a picnic to understand why this is the best car ever!  (could possibly be provided if the sun keeps shining!)

LOADS of pictures, lots of paperwork, happy to answer questions. Thanks for reading.
