Mk1 Golf Cabrio 1.8 Gli

I have for sale my Golf Cabrio which i have recently got back on the road.
It is a 1.8 Gli Cabrio in metallic blue with a black roof (Has large tear in it but has been repaired so no leaks).
I have just had the car MOT'd so there is a full year on it and it also comes with 6 months tax.
The car drives and looks great, this is no show car, the bodywork is not perfect, and the interior carpet and sounddeadening has been removed, and the drivers seat has the usual bolster wear.
I have owned this car for over a year now and have been collecting parts and sorting things to get the car back on the road.
I have new front seats in grey vinyl, and new grey door cards, and also new thick sound deadening, M3 Crystal Rear lights, new chrome front/rear fog lights, AND also i have a pair of CHROME BUMPERS which i have not yet fitted to the car.
As i have said i have only just started using this car as it was off the road for so long, and recently on an outing in it i filled the car with petrol and discovered it had a hole in the tank at the top, and therefore leaks when the tank is full. I have now bought a brand new tank and was in the process of fitiing this when i damaged my hand and have not yet been able to do this (the car is currently jacked up with the rear axle part removed). The car can still be driven however the tank can not be filled to the top or it leaks!!!
At present the car is not looking at its best but with a small amount (really small) it could look amazing.
I was also in the process of removing the bumpers to fit the chrome ones when they arrived, only to discover they did not come with the brackets, so it has no bumpers on it the front can be refitted to be driven home.

The previous owner lost all the history so i have nothing, however, i have recently serviced the car and it runs very well, slightly sluggish on start up but this soon clears (cold start valve??)

I will regret selling this but it has to go as currently i can't do any work on it, and have just purchased a new toy!!

This is a great car for what has to be one of the best summers this country has had in years.

I may be willing to meet the buyer depending on wher they are based!

Sorry mate just gonna sell it all as one lot, as if i need to keep it i will be wanting them on the car.
