mk1 golf cabby! 9mnths mot ?850ono!!!

hi all i have my 1983 mk1 golf gli cabby for sale its silver with a 1.8l engine. has no tax but has 9 mnths mot. unfortunatly car has been sat still for a while as i am in the army and have recently just got back from a six month tour of iraq.  should have sold it before i went away but to many things happening and just neva got chance.

good bits

- to my knowledge completly stock including blaupunkt stereo()nt currently working but just isnt conected-was working a few months back).

- hood in good nick only issue is a slight tear the size of a finger nail where the hood meets the boot.

- just taken out and cleaned up all the seats and there looking quite good. had to patch up a little on the drivers seat(usual places) but is the same material and looks ok, nt perfect but nt easily noticable.

- comes with the wind stopper that fits behind driver and passenger works really well and makes a big difference when the tops down.

bad bits

- engine has issues! head gasket has gone and could do with a few hoses replacing.

- has had a rear end bump at some point and the genius who repaired it didnt replace the seals on the rear clusters only damage i can see is the rear parcel shelf has started to sag.

- paint work has a few scratches but these are only noticable close up.


ok as you can see she's far from perfect but is still a lovely car.  was told i could get 700-800 breaking her but i really dont want to would be a travesty and shes far from past her best, you dont see that many completly stock ones knocking about. am looking for ?850ono viewing is welcome cars in aldershot please pm me on here or email me on bongoman2386@hotmail.com
