Mk1 Golf - 2.0l 16V abf

For sale is my 1987 mk1 golf. The car is a south african import. I took the car off the road in july last year and have been working on it since. i finished the car about 2 months ago and now need to sell because im going travelling at the end of august and really could do with the money! so here it is -

CHASSIS
1987 import shell - absolutey solid. needed abit of welding when i was workin on it but thats all sorted now
Smoothed engine bay - washer bottle and battery in the boot.
Running on matt black ATS Classics
Raceland coilovers

ENGINE
2.0l 16v abf engine
Twin 40 dellortos
mk2 gti 5 speed box
Fiesta radiator ( fits perfectly under the front panel )
Ford fan running of a switch on dash.

I fully rebuilt this block 750 miles ago - new piston rings, shells, seals, etc. the head was then rebuilt about 150 miles ago. new guides, lifters, etc.
The engine runs quite tappety but iv been told these passat engines often do. it has definatly quietend down alot though since i first started driving it.

BRAKES
mk2 gti front vented disc conversion
scirroco rear disc conversion
mk1 gti servo and master cylinder
the rear brake pipes have been run thru the car because i have a brake bias controller down by the gear stick.
Brakes work sweet but could do with having another bleed

INTERIOR
16V leather seats, front and back.
Beano covered door cards front and back and also glove box.
The carpet could do with a proper clean because its abit dirty.
Head lining is clean but has some tares in it at the back of the car around the boot seal. i have just stuck them back up for the moment.

so thats about it! the boot needs abit of a tidy up because i lost the old piece of carpet and at the moment the parcel shelf is just rested in. also the rear seats need a small bracket made so that they clip into the pins at the top. just some things i never got round to doing. give me a ring if your interested and i can answer any questions. ring Dan on 07814302507 anytime. £4600 is what im after but will consider offers around that price! cheers

engines polybushed at the sides
polybushes on the steering rack

car also comes with sweet roof rack ( i'll get some pics up soon )
Stone chip protection under all sills, rear panel, front panel and all wings.
Battery cut of switch on the dash ( just for security really )
