MK1 Golf 1982 1.5GL Auto offers over 150

has a fuel or carb problem (minor or major?)see post in garages about it.
it's an original (standard wheels etc) vgc burgundy red 5 door.
8/4 months mot/tax 82000 miles has some early s/h and last 6 mots.

drives well b4 it started cutting out every couple of streets. can be test driven but any buyer would need to take it straight to one of local vw garages here in kilburn for repair.
don't think it has had a service last couple of years either.
mileage on mot 7/11/01 75,500 so not much used. 6 owners. only done 120 miles myself since buying it 6 months ago.
are these auto GL not popular here? or only for women.
