LPG / GAS    1250 pounds no offers

VW GOLF GTI CABRIO 1.8  ?911? plate, not private came with the car.

THIS IS AN EXCELLANT CAR, THE ENGINE (RUNNING LPG) AND THE BODYWORK ARE IN MINT CONDITION - NO RUST, NO HOLES.
IT DOESNT LEAK WATER/RAIN EITHER. (I POWER WASH IT AND NEVER GET ANY WATER INSIDE)

V5 is in my name. only reason for sale is have just got a new job and need to have a company approved one, I have wanted one of these for years and reluctantly selling it. Would love it to go to an enthusiast.  Apart from the gas conversion the only thing that I can see that is not original is that the wheels have been painted to match the car.

Some history:

Replaced parts with genuine VW parts. (NOT that they all needed replacing, Just do it to ensure its a good runner.)

I had LPG converted on the car about 7 months ago. and it runs perfectly. Smoothly, and no hickups!. I had the engine stripped (hence pics of the head) and had the head all smoothed out. (Polished)

All the gromets and seals etc replaced with VW parts, Also the Tapets are new and changed…. Its Had a Shrik Cam placed in it. With higher lift and longer stoke… To gain the potentional of the engine and give it a little more power at higher revs. It's got a K&N replacement panel filter (recently cleaned) and so much more. The Oil & Filter is Quantum (VW premium oil).

I had the Body worked sprayed as a little rust started on the drivers door… SO have had it done and repaired. LIKE NEW!  when Polished up this car looks brilliant & new!.
The car does have a small dint on the back wing. Its just under the rear light. but hardly noticeable.

Car has a CD radio, the sill trims have been replaced, aluminum pedals, piles of receipts you are welcome to wade through them all. 11 old mot?s, receipt for a new hood, plus a load of others

This Car is advertised else where.  It's been a daily runner for me as its so cheap to run on the LPG. It's a 65 ltr tank and when you fil it up (?27) it'll last easily 300+ , I haven't hardly noticed  any power loss as it's been tuned to run the LPG.

THE INTERIOR TOO IS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE, APART FROM A SMALL TEAR IN THE DRIVERS SEAT, AND A PATCH (SEE PICS).. BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT'S GREAT.

It's been lowered slightly just so it grips a little better.. But for those that Now the MK1, they know how good they are.

Its Done 148k Miles, But it had the Engine stripped & rebuilt at 137,000 as above, so it'll do another 148,000 easy.

Car was MOT?d on 13th July 2009 and expires on 3rd August 2010 no advisories
It is taxed till the end of November 09

Please ask any questions, Your more than welcome to come look/ see it running. (It'll start from Cold first time no worries).

I was told to start it on petrol, drive a few miles till the engine was warm and then flick the switch to gas/lpg, and blip the throttle over 2,000 and the car runs on gas.  Then if you want to go back on petrol, switch back to petrol and the car will run as normal on petrol.

Anyway sorry to see it go.
